EMC desires to see the Kingdom of God expand through the body of Christ being edified, equipped and sent out in this community and to wherever the Holy Spirit leads, with signs following, so people may know and experience the love and kindness of God.

Pastor Wayne Nelson is the Senior Pastor at Eagle Mountain Church and he’s excited by the number of youth and families attending services since the church relocation to Terminal Ave.

Pastor Wayne’s heart is to encourage families. And that’s only natural, because he began his ministry as Children’s pastor, and then served as Youth Pastor before taking on the role of Senior Pastor at Eagle Mountain.

Nothing gets Pastor Wayne more excited than the manifest presence of God, so he’s attentive to the Spirit during services. As a result, the gifts of the Spirit flow and the power of God is able to break the yokes of bondage and set people free. ‘God is so good!’ is one of Wayne’s signature exclamations. He’s fired up about raising up and building a strong community of Spirit-filled Christians at Eagle Mountain’s new home in downtown Nanaimo.
